Precision Tuner (精密チューナー)
Privacy policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This policy applies to Precision Tuner (精密チューナー), iPhone version 1.0.0 and Android version 2.0.0. The older Android version 1.3.1 contains an advertising SDK, so the statements below about no external transmission do not apply to that older version.
Microphone use
The app uses the microphone to analyze single musical notes on your device and display the note, frequency and deviation from the reference pitch. After permission is granted, measurement runs while the app is open and stops when it moves to the background. Pitch cannot be measured without microphone permission. You can change or revoke permission in your device settings.
Audio and measurement results
Short portions of input audio are held in memory for analysis and are not saved as audio files. Audio and measurement results are not sent to the publisher or third parties. The app has no measurement history, audio upload or sharing feature. No account is required. The app has no feature for collecting names, email addresses, contacts, location or advertising identifiers.
Settings stored on your device
The A4 reference frequency is saved in the app’s private settings on your device. The Android version also saves whether microphone permission has already been requested, to avoid repeating the prompt after a denial. The OS manages microphone permission itself. The app does not send these settings to the publisher or third parties and has no independent cloud sync or backup feature. OS device backup and restoration depend on your device settings and the policies of the OS provider.
Advertising, analytics and third parties
The covered versions do not include advertising or usage analytics SDKs. They do not provide audio, measurement results or app settings to third parties. Use of the website hosting this page is separate from audio analysis inside the app.
Retention, changes and deletion
Audio and measurement results are not retained as audio files or measurement history. Settings are stored in the app’s private area, protected by OS access restrictions. You can change A4 inside the app and reset it to 440 Hz. To delete device settings, clear the app’s data in Android settings or delete the app on iPhone. Offloading an iPhone app keeps its settings. Manage information in OS backups through OS settings. The publisher has no system for storing audio or measurement history.
Information you send in a support request
If you send a support request, the reply address and information in your message are used to investigate the issue and respond. Sending a support request is separate from the app’s operation; the app does not automatically transmit audio or measurement results.
Policy changes
If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated with a new update date.
